Support extraordinary individuals, on a spiritually charged expedition
This winter, we are blessed with the opportunity to literally follow in the footsteps of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ — walking the path of the Hijra from Makkah to Madinah, in the blessed company of Al-Habib Kazim Ja‘far Muhammad al-Saqqaf, a master of the spiritual path, a scholar of Tarim, and a direct descendant of the Prophet ﷺ.
Our route is inspired by the lifelong research of Professor Abdullah Hussein AlKadi, the foremost scholar of the Hijrah. His decades of study and exploration have mapped the exact path the Prophet ﷺ took, transforming one of the most important moments in Islamic history into a living journey we can still trace today.
We walk to emulate and connect to the Beloved ﷺ — to witness the desert he ﷺ crossed, to feel the air that embraced him ﷺ, and to contemplate the hardship he ﷺ endured so that the world could know Islam today.
By walking with Habib Kazim al-Saqqaf, we hope to connect not only ourselves, but also our communities, back to the one whom Allah loves beyond all others, especially at a time of immense tribulation for our ummah.
We are doing this by opening up this journey to those who cannot come with us by offering sponsorship for every kilometre of the Hijra route. For £63 you can dedicate a kilometer to a loved one who has passed — as an ongoing sadaqah jariyah for them. Their names will be read each morning of the walk, in the presence of Habib.
Through this, we seek mercy — and we also hope to build a legacy — by raising funds for Mustafa Mount, a project of Greensville Trust. Mustafa Mount is a space of learning, worship, and community in Bradford, where faith is taught, lived, and shared. Funds raised will support its running costs, ease existing debts, and help prepare the ground for the next stage of its vision. This is not about building walls, but about rebuilding hearts — so that our ummah might once again become truly Muhammadan.
